British Society of Master Glass Painters Conference 2019 – Bath and the Levels

Wednesday 28th August – Saturday 31st August 2019

BOOK YOUR PLACE NOW!

We would like to draw attention to the annual three day BSMGP travelling conference, in which Holy Well Glass features heavily this year. Highlights of the tour include a visit to Wells Cathedral and lunch at the historic Vicars Hall, as well as a visit to the HWG workshop. You can see our stained glass conservation work in progress, in our new premises at Old Priory Mill, which still has many of the old mechanisms of a medieval water mill. Based at the University campus in Bath, the tour will visit various churches and historic buildings throughout the Mendips and the Somerset Levels. There will be visits to see many different periods of stained glass throughout the tour, ranging from the 14th to the 19th centuries, and to more modern work of the late Keith New FMGP, and Karl Parsons. An evening keynote lecture will highlight the conservation of the 16th century Bishop Fox glass at Winchester Cathedral. This promises to be an enlightening and enjoyable experience!
